Raising Resilience – One in seven women in the U.S. suffers from Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Black mothers suffer at even higher rates and are less likely to be treated. For this reason, this conversation is extremely important not only for expectant mothers, but also for all of us because we’re either personally affected or have known someone who is silently suffering.

This week we speak to Tiffany Thompson and Whitney Coble, the dynamic duo behind the North Carolina based non-profit organization- Raising Resilience. They are Licensed Professional Counselors certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and working to obtain certification in Maternal Mental Health. Their clinical experience includes providing services to women, children, and adolescents who struggle with daily stressors, traumatic events, and additional mental health diagnoses.
