One of the unspoken pillars of wellness is financial stability. Too often, the role of finances are discounted and removed from conversations centering wellness. However, it’s impossible to be truly well if there is any insecurity surrounding where the next meal will come from, how the rent/mortgage will be paid, and/or if we simply don’t have access to the tools for a well-rounded life.
Unfortunately, many are currently facing financial uncertainty due to the economic effects of Covid-19. Our collective mental wellness is being tested. In addition to the physical devastation that the virus is causing families, there are also lasting financial consequences of job loss. This week’s conversation is especially timely.
